Ritual Suicide – Nocturnal Haematolagnia

Now we are talking primitive, old-school raw black metal, delivered by the Ukrainian duo Ritual Suicide. This album, “Nocturnal Haematolagnia” is their third full-length and I have to admit, I have never heard Ritual Suicide before.

But I tend to like it more and more while listening, guess it can be that it is so raw, quite unpolished, and primitive.

Despite its so primitive and raw as stated maybe too many times by now, it is yet kind of melodic and for the fan of the kind of unpolished black metal this is a must to listen to.

I am thinking of the track, “Tenets Of The Final Nights“, and “Unto Starving Shadows They Bled“, both are really good songs and the guitars are great. The music is really guitar-based and there are hooks and twists that make it interesting to listen to the album at its full.

I did not have any expectations when I first heard Ritual Suicide and their album “Nocturnal Haematolagnia“. When I realized that it was primitive and raw I was at first skeptical, but after som plays through I changed my mind and I liked the fact, that it was just, raw, primitive but yet quite melodic and guitar-based. Favorite tracks on this album are “Torture Chambers“, Tenets Of The Final Nights“, and “Unto Starving Shadows They Bled“.

Would I bu this record?
The vinyl is added to my “want list”, and I hope that I can get my hands on this album.
